Could you please help me with some phrases? What does it mean - "the problem is exposure"? And what does it mean "they were headed back"? Just "they headed back"? Thank you very much in advance!:)

If Glendower had died near the ley line, presumably a well-traveled route, hisbody would have been exposed rather than hidden and more likely to be discovered quickly.
