Any difference? What is the difference if any between "by chance" and "accidently"?

I would use "by chance" for outcomes which are out of your control, but happen to be to your benefit, e.g. a nice surprise such as meeting a friend by chance, or by chance the bus coming just when you arrive at the stop. "Accidentally" I would use when it is a direct result of an action, but is was not intended to happen, e.g. I accidentally cut myself, accidentally knocked it over.
