what does it mean- modality of the main verbs Thanks for answers

From what I know, modality has to do with possibility and "mood" of the verb. Modal verbs are basically auxiliary, meaning that they support another verb (like an adverb). Not sure if this part is useful or not, but some examples are: can, could, might, may, will, should, would, must, and shall.
