To recall is usually used in place of to remember: Do you recall (remember) the time we went to the museum?...I can't recall (remember) the last time I was at the museum. To remind is usually used like this: I want to remind you that homework is due tomorrow...Please remind me that I have to complete my homework for tomorrow. Remind is a shorter form of remember. Recall is a shorter form of recollection...I have no recollection of that day. It just depends how you are using them in speech or writing which one to use.
