about grammar On one forum about grammar I saw an entry, where was written "Recently, I read some newspapers about flowers", and I don't understand it because in the sentence author used word "recently", so it must be used Present Perfect time in the whole sentence like "Recently, I have read some newspapers about flowers". Native speakers didn't correct this part, maybe because it is grammatically correct? But I still don't understand why they didn't correct it? Is this sentence grammatically correct with Present Simple? Explain me please, I am so confused with it.

You can use recently with either past simple or present perfect. The choice of the verb form depends on the rest of the paragraph.
