Is this correct? "So sorry for your loss and I'm sure that he had a wonderful happy life, no matter how long it was." And is it a good way to say this? thanks.

The beginning is too casual - it sounds as if you don't care. Full sentences will sound formal and respectful. Try this: "I am very sorry for your loss and I am sure that he had a wonderful and happy life, no matter how long it was."
