tombola- raffle In Spanish fairs, Seville-style, there are "tombolas" . They sell tickets and you can win different prizes if your number is the one chosen . ( similar to lottery) What do you call this in Britain? Would I be understood if I called it "tombola" as well? does a raffle imply the same? Thanks

You'd definitely be understood if you called it a tombola. I think for one at a fair, either 'tombola' or 'raffle' could be used. But if you're selling tickets before the fair, you'd usually talk about a raffle. Personally I'd pretty much always say 'raffle'.
