There are many dialects in Korea (both North and South). Jeju Island has their own special dialect. Seoul and near Seoul don't have one. Now, most of young people use the standard Korean. Other provinces like Gangwon, Kyeongsang, and 전라(Jeolla?) have distinctive differences in their tones, intonation, and some expressions. I guess if you enjoy watching Korean TV shows, you can try 응답하라 1994, 1997 (Apply 1994, 1997), or some movies filmed in Busan. It's really hard to explain in writing. haha
