Yes, commonality means the things objects have in common. Ex. - "I see many commonalities with the two boys." ----- "commonality" is not very common (no joke intended ;) ) in casual English. Usually people use "similarity," or "in common" instead...it sounds more natural. Ex. - "I see many similarities with the two boys." Ex. - "I see many things in common with the two boys."
