rushing to their work? any other way to say this? any mistake? I know that many people must be rushing to their work now and I am drinking the warm and appetizing cornmeal.

Just "rushing to work". Also, probably just "drinking warm and appetizing cornmeal." - no 'the' - unless you have already been talking about cornmeal.

1. "rushing to their work" is fine. "rushing to work" is also correct but it refers primarily to the busy scene or traffic in the streets. "rushing to their work" refers to the daily round, the trivial making of a living. So they have different connotations. 2. Ruby, why do you need to say it in other ways?
