"amanat gereftan" is almost the same with "gharz gereftan". But "amanat gereftan" uses for things, and not for the money. For example " man yek ketab az ketabkhaaneh amanat gereftam". And "gharz gereftan" almost uses for the money (but also sometimes for the things). So you should use "gharz gereftam" in this sentece ":i borrowed 100 dollars from friend" = " man 100 dollar az doostam gharz gereftam. " hope it helps you

"Amanat" as a noun is something that someone gives to you in the hope that you will return it exactly as it was when asked for, not a replacement by its likes. So it's not usually used for consumable stuff like money. Ex: وقتی داشتم میرفتم خارج، ماشینم رو امانت دادم به دوستم. When I was going abroad I lent my car to my friend.
