First of all, both 'need to~' and 'have to~' can be translated as '~해야할 것같다.'

Ex.1) I think we need to change his diaper.
Your attempt: 그의 기저귀를 갈야 하는 것같아요. 
My correction: 그의 기저귀를 갈아야할 것 같아요.

Example: I think we have to leave before 8:00.
