Not always interchangeable, unfortunately. "It was nice for meeting you" can never replace "It was nice to meet you," (although you can safely say "It was nice meeting you"), and you wouldn't "want for doing something" with a friend on Saturday night.

Between your example sentences, I would choose "useful for learning."
