grammar Got to learn a lesson for life OR Got a lesson to learn for life. Which one is correct?

The meaning of both is clear, but I would prefer to rewrite them to sound more fluent. "Have to learn a life lesson" sounds better, and could be used in this context; Mary failed her exams, she had to learn a hard life lesson about studying.

do not they have different meanings? to me, both the sentences dont have errors.
