Is "אהי" a slang? I have a Hebrew phrasebook, but it's some years old. It says אהי (Brother) is a slang for a cool person you know. Is that correct, and is still commonly used?

My brother אחי akhi. It's like in English. 1. My brother as it is.. 2. a slang, when you spoken to a friend or someone informally. Like "bro.."
