Curiosity about journalism Dear English speakers, although i tried to google it, couldn't find the proper definition. In order to become a journalist - belonging to the official Journalists' Professional Body - how many steps does it take? And which qualifications on the way? In Italy for instance, there are two steps: after a 2-years practice you are entitled to be granted the "Giornalista pubblicista" title, which is a freelance journalist worldwide recognized who cooperates not on a daily basis with different newspapers. After then something like 3 more years, someone can sit a national exam in order to attain the highest qualification in the information sphere, the "Giornalista professionale" title. I would like to know now how many steps and levels are there in Your countries, in order to get the best counterpart for the Italian awards. Appreciate it!
