Hello! I've been studying Korean for around 2 years and 4 months and when I fisrt started to talk with kroeans I'd always prefered talking with koreans in english and just say some sentences in Korean. However, when the time passed by, I wanted to start talking in Korean more and more, and I noticed that my kroean friends helped me too much to improve my sentences and also my speaking (when I used to do videocalls/calls with korean native speakers. i think you could try to communicate with them mostly in English and using jsut a little bit of Korean, and then, when you feel more confidence about talking in korean, you could start speaking korean mroe and more.
