설마가 사람 잡는다 When do you use 설마가 사람 잡는다? I kind of understand what it means, but I'm still not sure in which situations it's best used. The more examples from your personal experience, the better.

설마가 사람 잡는다 is when you were worried about something or when you expected bad things to be happen, it really happens as you expected. An example would be 설마가 사람 잡는다더니 사고가 났다. Koreans would use 설마 했더니~, 설마 했는데~ more often :)
