a poem is a piece of writing in which the words are chosen for their beauty and sound and are carefully arranged, often in short lines that rhyme. poem is a countable noun. poetry is considered as a form of literature. you can also describe something very beautiful as poetry. it is an uncountable noun. eg. Russian poetry. his music is purer poetry than a poem in words. hope my answer helps .;)
