What does it Jean? Hi everyone! We' re studying Shakespeare at school so that our teacher grave us some material about love/marriage and this kind of stuff. However I can't find the meaning of some of these expressions. Could u please tell me what they mean ? And if u want add some situatioin in which I could use them. - to carry a torch for someone - to have a soft spot for someone - to entrap someone - to tie the knot - to take the plunge Ty Matteo

http://idioms.thefreedictionary.com I could tell you but the first two are on this website and I guess that the rest are too. I didn't check "entrap" - it's not an idiom, just a verb. I like to encourage learners to be independent and come back to me as a teacher once they have made an initial effort.
