Are these sentences right? Some people like being in the high light. On hearing the good news we breathed again. He makes money on the bend.

As the previous answer: "high light" should be "limelight". The second sentence is OK. However, the third sentence is not just awkward, I don't know what it means to "make money on the bend". I think you might mean "He makes money illegally".
