How to use specialized in My major is specialized in Marketing. My major specialized in Marketing. Which one is correct and what's the difference between them? Is it wrong to add "is" in this sentence?

The word "is" represents present tense. So if you are done with school then you will say "My major specialized in Marketing." If you are still in school then you can say "My major specializes in Marketing." You can also say "My major is specialized in Marketing." for the present tense. The last one makes it sound like you are clarifying what your major is to someone who asked as opposed to just stating what it is.
