I believe that what will help you improve your English is to create a context for your learning experience. For example, what has worked for me in learning Arabic is speaking the language regularly (even though I am just a beginner), and do a lot of listening to lessons (like Pimsleur and Michel Thomas), then practice creating sentences from what you learned: you can check those sentences either with an italki language partner or through the notebook section of italki.
