It's important to be realistic. If you don't live in an English-speaking country or you are not speaking English with natives in your own country, your opportunities to sound like a native will be limited. It's not always easy to get and keep language partners either.
If there are some English language TV shows you like and understand, more or less, you could try to make a transcript of them and study the transcript. Look for common expressions, ones which you like, or which you understood well because of the context. Listen to the intonation of the phrase and repeat it to yourself in the same way - like an actor. This could help you to "feel" the language a little more. I occasionally make transcripts of short, funny clips from YouTube and publish them on my blog and Facebook page.
You'll still need feedback from native speakers to maintain your motivation. If money is an issue, try to get one or two friends to join you for a session with an Italki teacher or tutor, so you can share the cost.
