the difference between "meet" and "meet with" Now, they are meeting with more resistance in places like Tikrit. May I use only "meet" in this sentence? What is the difference between "meet with" and "meet"?

in this sentence you gave, "they meet with more resistance" sounds like only during the times they try, but "they are meeting with more resistance" makes it sound like all the time. when talking about people though, "meet with" is just more formal. "I will meet you later" versus "I am meeting with an old friend tomorrow"
