Hi, you already recieved several answers and they are right, we have various translations, for example, が、でも、しかし、ところが、だが、etc, etc…and the most used ones are でも、が、しかし. Here are examples: Esta manzana es deliciosa pero esa manzana no es deliciosa. このりんごはおいしいが、そのりんごはおいしくない。 このりんごはおいしいけれど、そのりんごはおいしくない。 このりんごはおいしい。でもそのりんごはおいしくない。 このりんごはおいしい。しかしそのりんごはおいしくない。 All mean the same but the use of PERO is defferent depending on the sentence. I hope this was helpful. ¡Saludos!

Zack, thanks for your answer. PERO is "but" you're right. I really expected Japanese to be that weird, could you help me?

It depends on the context. I think "pero" means "but" in English right? There are a few different ways you can write this in Japanese. If you write the sentence you want to add "pero" to, maybe I can help.
