How would you translate this sentence into spanish? Nothing is softer or more yielding than water, or harder than rocks, the author notes, but over time water erodes and triumphs over rocks. I know that is something like: Nada is más suave o más flexible que el agua, o más fuerte que las rocas, el autor menciona, pero.. (I don´t know what would be the best form to translate the rest of the sentence due to the use of over time). Thanks for your help

nada es más suave o más flexible que el agua,o mas duro que las rocas, menciona el autor,pero con el tiempo el agua erosiona y triunfa sobre las rocas

"over time" means progressively. Can you say "progresivamente"? I think "triumph over" = conquistar My Spanish level is intermediate.
