ニュースの一文で意味がわからないものがあります I don't understand this sentence. Can anyone teach me in Japanese? "It's the first one I'm aware of recently with injuries this severe where everything worked out well". この日本語で合っていますか? "こんなひどい怪我なのに全て上手くいったのは、私の記憶では始めてです。"

This is the first time, within memory, that it's gone so smoothly despite being so terribly hurt/injured.

My Japanese isn't good enough. I'd add some punctuation: "It's the first one (I'm aware of recently) with injuries this severe, where everything worked out well". Then try breaking it into pieces maybe: "Everything worked out well" ~ 全部大丈夫だ "It's the first one" ~ しはつ "I'm aware of" - implies there might be others I don't know about "recently" - 近頃
