Some questions What's the difference between : I read a book and I read up a book You're in a swimming pool and you receive water in your face from somebody; do you say "hey don't splash me ?" or " Don't water me" or " Don't squirt me " ?

"read up a book" is incorrect. "read a book" is right. In the pool, you would say "don't splash me". You could say "don't squirt me" if the other person used a squirt gun to get water in your face. "Don't water me" only works if you're a plant!
