In order to build muscle, I do 30 repetitions 4 times a day. My workout routine consists 4 workouts a day. I perform 30 repetitions in each of these sessions. Measuring muscle is possible but would require tests to determine your fat to muscle ratio etc. In the context of this sentence the amount of muscle gained for each workout would be so small you could not meaningfully measure it. Workouts are also recorded in this way when multiple exercises are performed within one session: 30 reps × 4 sets of Dumbell curls. 30 reps × 4 sets of Squats etc... Reps refers to the amount of times the weight is lifted, pulled or pushed. Sets refers to the amount of times the groups (sets) of reps are performed. Typically a break of 1 minute is taken between sets. I hope this has been of some help to you and this answer is more understandable. Please disregard my last answer.

In order to build muscle, I do 30 repitions (reps) 4 times a day. Another way you could describe your workout routine : 30 reps x 4 sets Dumbell arm curls 30 reps × 4 sets Squats 30 reps × 4 sets Leg raises etc..... Note "set" is usually used to describe how many times the same exercise is performed. So it would be 30 repitions then a short break then 30 repitions and so on. If you perform your workout 4 times with long intervals between say morning noon then night just say " I worked out 3 times todays" Hope this heps :)
