Why does ancient egyptians are represented with one hand in front and the other behind them? I really like Ancient Egypt and English language. A good mix, don't you think? Sorry if my question is not about the idiom.

Well, the profile picture harks back to the predynastic period in which we see Narmer in this same form on the Narmer Pallete. It is called two-dimensional art. The goal of the Ancient Egyptians was to show the body as much as possible. Moreover, it is easier to draw the feet in this position and finally both hands are visible as well. Sometimes the hands were either backwards which was not show that they were deformed but merely to show the body as much as possible.
