Is there some virus on this website?
There are often a lot of mails send to my mailbox with similar content, It always ask me for my pictures and details and says like me . I am not sure if there are any virus on italki.com and these mails was sent from the virus automaticly,Have someone ever received so strange mails just like me?

Well, these messages aren't viruses, but called Spams .Spams are an unwilled messages -usually Ads -, or a dating proposals as the case here. I've already received 4 :-) So funny, isn’t it?

Viruses are a small programs that have a different functions ,they runs secretly and without the will of the pc owner .The thread may differ from a simple running that makes your PC slower ,to a total crash of the OS or a Lose of DATA .

The Golden Advice is:
Never accept files but from trusted contacts, and never run a program coming from an unknown source.

No. These messages are sent by self-acting 'bots' or evil users. They try to make contact with you, tell you that they like (love) you, to make you answer. Not by italki-message, but by real e-mail. Later they will ask you to send money.

You can report them to the italki-team.

well, considering the fact that there is alot of people using this site, i bet that there are a few viruses that people have attached on here. but if you have an anit-virus protector than they are of no harm to you
