Personally, is not the word frank. The word should be honest or reliable. Will you buy something from someone you know who is not honest? Will you do business with someone you do not trust? You should like ask a few questions to peak their interest. Like "What is your favorite candy bar?" What do you hope to see in a candy bar ? You know something to that notation. You are trying to peak the consumer interest. Then as a business man you tell them about your product and why they should give your product a try. Maybe your teacher was trying to say be frank but at the same time try to sell. Sorry if I am wrong.
