I guess what u say is breaking the ice between two strangers Well at the first begining say hi, and then keep talking and ask something related them. and then talking some thing that might be interested to them

After you are done with the introductions if you run out of things to say, and want to try to keep the conversation going you could always make a comment about the weather. "Its such a nice/sunny/cold/rainy/windy day today." The weather isn't personal and hopefully it could lead to another topic of conversation.

gose like this, hello or hi , how are you, my name is ........, and so on introduction, but dont get to personal, just come out free as if you have met the person before....
