'put to good use' - have I used it in a right way? I can say I have put my bundle of the computer science knowledge to good use. Does this phrase look correct? (context: a cover letter)

Correct: I have put my computer science knowledge to good use. I have put my knowledge of computer science to good use (I think this is the better sounding of the two.) The article is wrong as is 'bundle of.' And 'I can say' is redundant. It's not incorrect but it doesn't sound good.
