What's the difference between "Can" and "be able to". If I to use "Can" in all occasions, It's wrong

O verbo CAN usa se como o vosso PODER. Be able é mais como SER CAPAZ. Tome em mente que o verbo CAN tem somente presente e pretérito. Para todos os outros tempos verbais usa de BE ABLE. Ex. I will BE ABLE to make it ... I have not BEEN ABLE to make it ... etc.
