Which word would you use in the sentence below? Which word would you use in the sentence below if you want to imply that there's nothing people can do, they only can ACCEPT something unpleasant or unwanted. I wrote LUMP IT: "Over half of the people in the world have to LUMP water shortages every day." But maybe it would be better to use "be reconciled, "make* it up with", reconcile oneself to, resign oneself to, tolerate...??

You cannot use 'lump' like this. . I think the best choice here is 'deal with.' 'Put up with'' also works well.
