use of "between" Could anyone explain to me which sentence makes better example? 1. The difference of business performance between companies that managed by owners and employed expert managers. 2. The difference of business performance between owner managed companies and employed expert manager companies. Thank you. =)

Both are a little confusing, but #1 is better. I would write something like: The difference in performance between companies that are managed by the owner and companies whose owner hires an expert manager.
