Du/Dich/Dir In German, most of the time I see and hear "du" but every so often I see "dich" or "dir" . and I'm having trouble trying to figure out why that is and when to use which.

"du" is nominative "dich" is accusative "dir" is dative If you don't know what nominative, accusative, dative, and genitive are, then I recommend that you learn German grammar on the internet. Then you will be able to understand what "du", "dich", and "dir" are for. Not very hard. :)
