Which one is wrong? 1. [Although] I tried to read the grammar book at this morning, it failed. 2. I tried to read the grammar book at this morning [though], it failed. 3. I tried to read the grammar book at [though] this morning, it failed. 4. I tried to read the grammar book at this morning, it failed.[though]

1. In your sentence, "you" failed to read. So you have to say "I failed", not "it failed" 2. To make this sentence correct, you can connect the two parts with "and": - I tried to read the grammar book at this morning, and [I] failed. - I tried (and failed) to read the grammar book at this morning.

None of them are quite right. I would say "Although I tried to read the grammar book this morning, I failed". Very close though :)
