care for i am a little confused about the meaing of : care for I read : cared for the illl people does it only mean they are important for you, you are concerned about them? And it does not imply you TAKE CAR E OF THEM . you help them with their meals, medicines....??? thanks

Cared for the ill people means that the person took care of the ill people. He or she took care of daily needs, feeding, bathing, medicine, etc.

In this context seems to care for and to take care of smb are similar verbs. But if you mean cared-for as an adjective it means person having needed care
