which is better? Could you tell me which you prefer between the two following sentences? 1)Venice was so fantastic, like a village in fairytale books, that I really envied the visitors. 2)Like a village in fairytale books, Venice was so fantastic that I really envied the visitors. And what's the difference between a fairytale and a fairy tale? Thanks!

Neither sentence is better than the other, they are both well written. It might be slightly better to say "like a fairytale village" because it's technically a "book of fairytales". Fairytale is just an alternate spelling of fairy tale, there is no difference whatsoever.
