Absolutely fine!! personally I would say "Fame didn´t make a difference IN his attitude to life" or "Fame didn´t make a difference to his attitude IN life" because it somehow feels less comfortable to have the 2 "to"s so close in succession. But it is extremely subtle and what you said is fine
