春よ来い grammar Hello. If i'm right then this is translated as ”Spring, come“. However, i haven't met such a construction before. What is this form of 来る? And what does よ mean in this context?

来(く)る is a very special irregular verb.来(こ)い is one of it's Command form. 春よ: よ doesn't have any meaning here, but we use it to attract someone's(Spring's) attention when we try to call them. 春よ来い is often used in lyrics. In daily conversation, we use 来い to command pets or children to come to us.
