difference between "Me too" and "Me neither"
Example of conversation I came across yesterday whle watching TV series:
A: - What is up?
B: - Nothing
A: - Me neither

Why the response was "me neither" but not for example "Me too"?
"Me neither" is the response which matches a negative statement, which in this case is "nothing".
A. I had a coffee this morning. B. Me too.
A. I didn't have a coffee this morning. B. Me neither.
