Oh yes. There are Chinese and Thai songs that I love to listen to even if I don't understand what they are about. The melodies are great and sung with great skill and emotion. Knowing what the artists are singing about would make them even better!

When I listening some foreigner song I try to understand the melodies and the time of music. The lyric I try to understand each letter and the word together. And the sounds too.

Well in fact I am singing some Chinese songs now such "Tian Shi" by May Day. At first I don't understand the lyrics but I love the melody. With the help of my Chinese friends here in italki I was able to understand the message of the song.
