Hi there, can you share the context to this sentence, ie. where is the sentence from? "Platforn" is probably meant to be "platform".

In general, a "platform" ("platforn" is a typo) is a raised thing that you stand on. In this case, it is probably some sort of wooden structure of some kind for people to stand on, so they don't get wet.
