In Spain is as fernando says. And it was also use to buy sweets typical of that day as some called "Bones of Saint" (don't be scared by the name, is just a cake made with egg-yolk) and fritters.

In México we go to the cemetery to take flowers to the dead, someones even make altars to their dead relatives, where they put the food, candies and drinks that they liked when alive, along with their picture and bread of the dead. It is common in schools to make contests or exhibitions of altars. In some places in the south of the country, relatives stay all the day to eat and sleep next to the grave. Halloween costume's parties are also common, but they are seen just as party more than a tradition.
