"alright" is not standard, though it's often used in very casual writing. "all right" is the more correct form. I suggest you use this form with people you don't know well.

The difference is 'alright' is incorrect. It was not allowed by any English teacher I ever had.

Probably there may be some cases, where each of them can be more appropriate: 1 Is all right? - Yes, everything is ok. 2 Everything is alright!
