Both are okay, though if would be better to add "about" at the end of the sentence (we boast about something, we don't boast something) You can take away an object relative pronoun when the subject of the main clause and the subject of the relative clause are different.

'Tenet' is not the correct word to use here. Tenent is a dogma or principle, etc., common to a group or belief structure.
